Pinball

The Rock Fantasy store used to be the home to almost 20 pinball machines earlier this year. Renovations to the store have made for more merchandise space, and less room for the pinball machines. These machines were spread out to the home of Steve Keeler (owner of Rock Fantasy) and other close friends of his. Together Steve and these friends have come together to form the Orange County Pinball Club. The store still holds 5 machines on premises.

We meet every Thursday night to play, anyone interested can find more information or contact us via our Myspace site. Recently an international film crew chose us to be filmed for a pinball documentary. Pictures from this and other pinball events can be seen below.

The history:

The OCNY Pinball Club is a classic pinball enthusiast club in Orange County New York.
The OCNY Pinball club holds tournaments each Thursday night (October through April). These tournaments are held on 6 to 8 random games out of over 150 current to classic pinball tables.
For those not familiar with the area, Orange County is located about one hour from the greatest city in the world New York City!

Our club was started by Steve Keeler of Rock Fantasy in the late 1980's; and it has eventually grown into what it is today.
It all began when Steve purchased a Kiss pinball machine for his store. Then he met a seller in the area, John Gray, who sold him about ten games to get him started.
Since then the club has continued to grow in size by year. First playing at Steve's house in the late 80's and then at recent years at the Rock Fantasy store location. In the summer of 2006 Steve renovated the store selling off a lot of the pins to gain merchandise space, but we still have four other locations close by to play at. The games we play on vary from electro mechanicals right up to the newest Sterns! Just this year during the summer months we have started a foosball club as well.

Currently on average of 15-20 players show per week, with as many as 40 participants at times.
